Washington Post

This is my first post from beautiful Seattle Washington. (for those who didn't know- we moved her on January 1st) Matt is starting as an Engineer for Boeing on Friday the 13th. What a way to start a new year! Everything will be better in Washington right? What an amazing place this is. Today we went to the Seattle Aquarium, Woodland Zoo, Red Robin, Target, Walmart & Payless. (for some closed toes shoes) I had to put away my tall platform shoes after a little fall on my second day here in Washinton. Appearently, all the moisture has done nothing to improve my grace and balance. Alex had so much fun at the Aquarium. It was quite a hands on experience, he banged on glass, talked (yelled) at the fish and even got to touch some star fish. He wanted to swim with them but we had to restrain him. Our favorite thing to see was this darling baby otter being loved and nurtured by it's mom it was SO SWEET! Matt discoved that he's going to need a jacket. He's been experimenting with various combonations of clothing, yesterday he just wore a shortsleeve shirt, today he added a sweater and decided a shirt & jacket or windbreaker would be just right. We'll see how that works out. The zoo was way cool too! There wasn't very many people there (probly caues it was raining most of the day) however, there was no rain while we were there. There were some really neat hipppos. They were huge. While we were there, one of them yaned and we were amazed by just how big a mouth could be. I really liked the eliphants. I've never seen so many animals as closely as I did at this zoo. It was really so awesome. We will be getting the keys to our new apartment home next Tuesday. We are looking forward to enjoying the cable TV & hi-speed internet to bring us into the 21st century. While we will miss the anteni that has served us will for our college years, we are thankful to enjoy some newer technology. I hope to be posting some pictures of our new apartment as soon as we get setted.
